This is the 4th concerto in the collection of concertos known as "Il cimento dell'armonia e dell'inventione" Op. 8. It includes all of the seasons as well as other concertos including no. 6 "Il Piacere" (The pleasure) in C major, RV 180, and no. 7 in D minor, "Per Pisendel" (For Pisendel) - a Baroque composer. As in the previous seasons' concertos, there is text that may go along with them as a description. A memorable line is "To tremble from cold in the icy snow, In the harsh breath of a horrid wind".
