This is the third concerto in the "Contest between Harmony and Invention" (cimento dell'armonia e dell'inventione) 12 concerto sequence by Vivaldi. Written for violin accompanied by strings and basso continuo published in 1725. Memorable and well spirited quotes from the autumn sonnets for this concerto include "Celebrates the peasant, with songs and dances, The pleasure of a bountiful harvest." and "Everyone is made to forget their cares and to sing and dance By the air which is tempered with pleasure."
